Need a fairly easy and accurate way to determine lop...dont get me wrong i can hit what i aim at...its just not a quick and comfortable thing to do...i love my rem 700 270...just want it more...comfortable. any ideas would help.

Put butt on your bicep/elbow crease. See where your finger hits on the trigger. :-). Cheap and easy. In the alternative, find a gun that is comfortable for you and measure the length of pull on said gun. -
Is it factory...measure from the trigger to the end of the butt pad.
I like longer lop on my blind guns and shorter for the rattling / walking...your eye relief & scope position will play a roll as well.Comment

Ok..did the crease thingy and my finger hit the trigger pretty comfortably and quick...beginning to think im over thinking this...which isnt unheard of...lol...beleiving the comfort level is all head stuff. ThanksComment

Forgot to answer the other ? ....yes its factory an old 70's remmy...i just removed the buttplate an put on a limbsaver pad cause it was beating the crap outta my shoulder.Comment
