    Another "scope my rifle" thread

I recently bought a Weatherby Vanguard S2 in .308, and now it's time to look for some glass, there's so many new and different makers now it's hard to keep up. I've glanced at Sightron, Vortex, Nikon, Luepold, SWFA, and a few others. Some things I would like on this scope are:

    Variable power
    Minimum adjustable to 10x
I like the side AO adjustment
    I like 30mm tube
"Tactical turrets" aren't a deal breaker but they sure are cool

Can anyone find something meeting close to these features in the range of 450-550 before tax?

I really liked the SWFA SS fixed 10x but I realized that was just too much for hunting. I love everything about that scope though. The AO side adjustment, toughness, mrad, and affordable price all seemed to make it a winner but that darn fixed 10x!!

    Thanks guys.

Get ahold of arrowsmith on here. He's got vortex at great prices (cheaper than I can order wholesale). He fixes me up everytime. Just got the "hoghunter" with lighted reticle and 30 mm tube. Great scope for the money ($300)

Look at a Leupold VX-3...can find lightly used for your price range. Best glass for the money, IMO.

Vortex. Its in your budget and can get more glass for your money than leupold.

I know it's out of your price range, but #9 sure seems like a whole lot of scope for the money. Bet it would be worth saving some extra cash for.
