It's a new offering from SRC. It's basically a .223 necked up to 25 cal. All you have to do is switch out the barrel of your AR and your done. Uses same bolt carrier and mags. 3000fpsat the muzzle and 875ftlbs at 300 yards from a 87 grain bullet.

25/223 will be real similar to the 25 Copperhead or 257 Kimber

data should be comparable to the 250/3000 commonly known as the 250 Savage

3k fps seems a bit optimistic.

              Rather have a 6.8 instead.

I don't know, I kind of like it. I would like to know some reloading info. You would need to use slow burning powder to get that speed with that bullet weight?

Seeing these numbers is giving me a little buyers remorse on my .300 blackout.

                        I've wondered about building a 7mm for a .223. Something along the lines of a shortened 7TCU.

I might take this project at the start of the year.

You would need to test against a 20" tube with the 6.8 & 300BO to get a good overall comparison.

I'm a 1/4 bore fan & like the idea of using standard 223 mags...now will it perform against the 6.8?? We'll just have to wait & see some velocities with 16" tubes & in my case SBR speeds.

                            I hope it does well.

I'm gonna start a 20" rifle upper in a few weeks for my MLD hunts in January and February. I'll let you know how it performs.
