    New 260 rem build complete

I have received word and pics that my new rifle is ready. It's a
    260 Remington with the following.

Model 7 action- blue printed and trued
Benchmark barrel .675 at muzzle 22" w/ deep flutes
All bedded in a B&C Alaskan II full bedding block stock
Tactical grey cerakote w/ black bolt and ring/bases
Trigger is old factory( soon replaced w/ Timmney)
Work done by Horizon Firearms in College Station, TX

I'm having trouble posting pics, so can someone help me out please and post for me. To me the metal color is hard to see in pics but maybe it's just me. Thanks for looking and thanks to Cajun Blake for all his help on my first build.

Nice build! Actually looks like a rifle built to hunt and a welcome change from all the wanna be sniper builds I've seen lately. Now go out and kill stuff.

Yes this was no tactical build at all. This will be my primary hunting rig. I kept it moderate in weight cause I will use out of ground blinds and stalking. I went with 22 inches for maneuverability reasons. Now just gotta get back home and mount my new Leupold and start load developing. Thanks for all positive comments.

You done good. My 260 likes 42.5 grs. of Benchmark behind a 100 gr. Partition at a little over 3300 fps. Easy on the shoulder but wicked on deer and hogs. Kinda like a 243 on steroids.

Well for starting loads I have a variety of bullets to choose from. 120 sierra pro hunters, 123 SST, 129 SST, 130 accubonds, and 130 Bergers. Powder on hand at moment is Varget, H4350, and IMR4350. I've got lots of work ahead of me, I can't wait.

Nice hunting rifle Jason. My next rifle will be a 260 or 6.5 creedmoor. I have already put the little browning back to use on the local hog population. My wife is already trying to confiscate my 25-06 and the little browning 223. So I may be in the market soon.
