    Adjust 700 trigger

    So I got a new remington 700 adl and in the instructions it shows that to adjust the trigger to turn the hex screw on the actual trigger but mine doesn't have a screw... Does that mean it's not adjustable or is there a way for me to adjust it?

    That's for the x - mark. Yours doesn't have it.

              Adjust 700 trigger

              The screw is hard to see and get to without removing the trigger guard but it's there.

              But this is the easiest way to adjust a Remington X Mark Pro trigger.

                I agree x 1000000 ... don't waste your time on the factory trigger

                throw in trash and replace with a Timney ($125) or Jewell ($200)

                  LOL mike well played...

                  Mess with this original at your own risk but....
                  Rear screw is sear engagement
                  Front top screw is over travel
                  Front bottom screw is trigger pull
                  rear= butt
                  front=muzzle
                  Each turn of each screw affects the other two.. so one slight adjustment to one changes the other 2

                  Beyond that just buy a timney or jewell and replace that craptastic thing!!!!

                      Why would it not be an x mark pro?

                        I don't see the adjustment. At least it's not where mine was unless there's some other model. And to my knowledge adl's don't come with that trigger.

                        I've been wrong before

                          You may very well be right. I've never bought an ADL but even when I've bought receivers only, they come with the X Mark triggers.

                          And like I said, sometimes the adjustment screw is difficult to see without removing the trigger guard.

                              From my understanding its different models of that trigger. If you take it off the stock there is an area underneath to lighten the pull. Head to google the info is on there.
