    Need help with reticle choice

I'm ordering a 4-24 Leupold VX6 for a 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm looking for some advice on reticles - I'm having trouble picking one. My (illuminated) reticle choices are the "Varmint Hunter" and the "Boone & Crockett". I'm leaning towards the varmint reticle because it offers more hold over options; but I'd like some opinions from some more knowledgeable brothers, or sisters, as the case may be.

Primarily, this rifle is for predator hunting and occasional deer.

What has me on the fence between these 2 reticles is the fact that I can get a CDS for the scope and just dial up the distance/windage and not really need to use the reticle for compensating. So, I'm wondering whether getting a 'busy' reticle like the varmint version is necessary, or the right choice. I know there's not really a "right" choice and that it's all personal preference; but I want to hear some other people's thoughts to help me make my decision.

    Here's the 2 reticles:

I prefer the Varmint Hunter reticle. Real nice looking to me. I've really been interested in picking up a 6.5cm. What rifle is it?

Wait just a little until the 2015 models are available. They are going to have a couple of interesting new reticles for the VX-6.

Ok, VH it is! Lol! Just needed someone to push me over the edge, one way or another.

It's the Savage 110 Predator Hunter. It's a great shooter but it did have some issues out if the box, literally. The chamber had a bur and the extractor wasn't fully machined properly. This caused some feeding and jamming issues that I was less than pleased about but it was easily fixed by a great gunsmith we're fortunate to have nearby, and it only cost $65. I'd buy it again though; even with the hassle. It's a fun rifle to shoot with plenty of accuracy for the price point.

Mike- I would but I have 1 more scope I can get this year on my deal and Leupold doesn't accept pro orders in November, December and January. So, I gotta jump now or wait several months just to be able to place an order. Oh well, if I like one of the new models that much better, I'll swap this one out next year. Got a feeling I'm going to like it plenty. Besides, it'll give me some more time to work on designing my custom dials and play with them. My hope is that they'll largely eliminate the need to choose a reticle.
