    SW .380 Bodyguard Safety ?

Have any of you that actually own / owned one removed the thumb safety ?

I've seen some YouTube videos, but, asking about personal experiences from y'all.

Not asking about "legalities" or, "if you don't want a safety, don't buy it."

Is there any way to remove or permanently manipulate it ? If someone did do anything to theirs, did you experience any functioning issues? Thanks

I carry one every day but haven't done that. Just curious why you want to? I don't use my safety. I put it on fire and forget it has one.

That's my only hang up. I've read on other forums where the safety isn't moved easily, that it takes a solid push. I don't want to take the change on a safety being on when it shouldn't be.

I carry mine in a wallet type holster and I can reach back and pull it out of my pocket just like a wallet and push the safety off while drawing it. I do understand your concern though. Like I said I just leave mine on fire and forget about the safety. I love the gun with the holster. It's awesome.

I just carry mine off safety in either a galco pocket holster or a sneaky peat holster. Both protech the trigger. The trigger pull in mine is so stout chances of me ever pulling it by accident is pretty much nil (given a modicum of care). In the end it all boils down to what you are comfortable with.

It also takes a solid push to engage the safety. You can't accidentally move to safe condition from fire position.

I never put it on safety when carrying mine.
