Gotta brag a little, USPSA match.

Shot a local match this weekend at Pearland. Hunter couldn't shoot, he was sleeping off the date from the night before. So I shot his gun, a Glock 34. I usually shoot a Para 45 in open class (compensated), but the 34 is a production gun, so I shot production class for the first time. I placed first among unclassified shooters! I am a C class Open shooter but don't have any matches shooting production to be classified yet. Total surprise to me as I even zeroed a stage (USPSA scoring is a PHD requiring task, don't ask. If you shoot USPSA, you know what that means! ) I doubt I will shoot the 45 again for a while. It's not a true open gun, so I have a REAL hard time competing with them. We are going to be getting another 34 or 35 shortly, so we don't have to swap gear when we both shoot.

If you like shooting pistols, it is a fun, fun game.

I had a G35 for Limited. Ended up with a Para 16-40 and haven't looked back. I would steer clear of the plastic guns, personally. Rock Island is coming out with a double stack competition model. I would look into those.

We are heavily vested in Glock with my sons competition. Glock is a major sponsor of SPP. We get deep discounts on them as well. His team is close to being individually sponsored by them as well.

If you are a C shooting a P14 in Open division, you would probably be a high B or low A shooting that in L10.
