I have shot 25+ deer with a ballistic tip (not the silvertip) and have never had to dig fragments from the meat. When this happened, were you using Nosler?

Whatever bullet is on the winchester ballistic silver tips.

Tried them for 2 years in my .243, they did not shoot well in my gun. Would take almost 3/4 to zero it in every year. Went back to the Rem CoreLock and never have any problems.

Makes me think the noslers must hold together better.

We are issued 55 grain ballistc silvertips for our patrol rifles, but I've never shot meat with them and don't know how they would perform.

Look at the Nosler accubond. I've been VERY pleased with it. I'm running a 180 grain at 3350 fps. I don't like tracking anything in south Texas.
High shoulder shots and all four legs point to the sky.

I haven't shot anything with mine yet but I can't wait! I've got a couple of boxes of Nosler Trophy Grade for my .264 win mag.

Another accubond fan here. It does some serious damage on big animals.

What caliber are you getting that speed with? That's a huge powder charge.

Lmao!! If I could safely cram that in a 30-30 case and get that speed I'm in!! Haha!!

I use to shoot them in my 7mm mag, they always shot very accurate for me and great performance on white tail deer and mule deer

Is it the one that is the most accurate in your gun?
I would not use a BT for trophy bucks or large hogs with the great selection of factory loads out there.
I want pass throughs. Fusions are tried and true.
                          YMMV

Yes, accuracy is paramount in my book. I wanted to use Partitions but they are a little....inconsistent in my rifle. I was actually thinking about trying Bergers.

I'm kinda imbarressed to say I shoot whitetail with it.
Let's just say I hate cactus and want things to fall right there.

                            Hint: it's a .30 caliber

I don't like tracking either. When I do rifle hunt, it's a 300Wby with a 210gr Berger. High shoulder shots a every time. Never had an animal take a step.

                                It's bigger than that.

I also park under my blind. Did I mention I HATE cactus.
