1-4 vs 1-6 power scopes...

I'm looking for a good 1-4 or 1-6 power scope for my new DD 5.56!

I'm looking at the vortex viper pst 1-4x24 and Leupold VXR 1.25-4x20....Are there any 1-6 power scopes in their same price range? I'm wanting to go $700-$800 tops including a Larue QD mount!

You'd need to pony up at minimum $1000 for a 1-6x. I have the viper 1-4 and like it, but I prefer the 1-6x scopes.

I've got the VXR in a Larue LT104 on my .458 SOCOM AR. It's a nice scope for the price range.

The .458 SOCOM recoil caused a bit of grease to come loose in the VXR and stick to the inside of the objective. Leupold took care of it - no questions asked.

Vortex Razor HD 2 1-6x
Busnell 1-6.5 SMRS
SWFA 1-6x

All of which cost between $1000 and $1400.

In that range there's also the Meopta 1-6x which I haven't tried.

And then you can get some super high quality glass with USO, S&B, Leupold MK6, or the swaro, I just don't have the cash to try em.

I thought about the Razor HD but that's a lot of coin for a scope....Id have to shoot one to decide on that

I have 2 of the 1x6 Vortex Razor HD's great scope, repeatable etc.

But, for a great price point the Primary Arms scope is not bad. I like that optic a lot. The supply issue can be challenging....

Buy two when they are available, otherwise you maybe waiting for a bit.

1-6 if you can afford it. Why go smaller? I'm all about having low power. But I having more than 4x is NICE.

IF you want to have best of both worlds look at a 2-7, sounds boring but why have 1.5-5ish when u can have 2-7 cheaper
