    Handguard stuck on barrel nut...

Trying to remove the hand guards from my AR-15 but the hand guard is stuck. I am 100% positive that there are no more screws in it. It is the friction of the tight fit holding it on. It is the diamondhead VRS-t rail. I might just have to oil and muscle it.

Is it free float or attach to the delta ring and front sight housing/gas block?

Is this the rail with two bolts on the bottom? Did you try to pry it open with a flat screw driver? Just be careful not to pry to much and mess up the rail.

I got it now! I placed a sock over my upper reciever to protect from scratches, put some gun oil on where the handguard and barrel nut met. Got a small board and placed it on the handguard end next to the barrel nut and tap tap tap with a rubber hammer and off she popped.

Glad you got it. Some guns pending brands use rock set which you have to let sit over night in water.

Next time place your upper in a vice between two 2x4s if its a flattop and that will hold it firm while you work on it. Also Gerry yourself a good set of strap wrenches and a barrel nut wrench finally get a delta ring tool
