    Nylon 66

Just recently I started viewing prices online and it is amazing to see some well over $1000. They are a fun and accurate rifle. I took several brands of 22 rifles to a range and compared the feel and balance of the 66 against others, as well as accuracy. My preference is still the 66. It just feels so good in my hands.

Anyone else enjoy plinking with them?

Had no idea the value had increased so much.

That is the Apache Chrome....only the Seneca green is more valuable.

If you want a good shooter, there are plenty of 66 Mohawk Browns you can pick up at a fair price.

The remmy 66 is a great semi 22...but nothing compares to the pre-64 Winchester Model 63.It's a superior made semi 22

Man, that was one of the greatest .22s ever made. I remember reading that it was the standard side gun for eskimos, because it was so reliable and of course .22 ammo was cheap. They used them to dispatch seals, trapped game, etc. I also remember reading some magazine review of it - Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, one of those - this was AGES ago! And they got an old can of dirty, rusty, filthy .22 ammo from the garage and it ate the whole can without missing a beat. That's a gun to hang on to.

It was my first rifle and I still have it. Don't shoot it much anymore, but it'll do it. Has a Williams peep that mounts on the grooved receiver. I haven't shot it for groups with a variety of ammo like my bolt guns, but I don't think it will match their accuracy. It will devour just about any ammo you feed it.

My dad gave me his and like a smart teenager I left it in my truck and it got stolen.

              ^^^^I agree...keep the Nylon 66 CLEAN!!!
I have one and it's a great shooter for sure. My son and I have put thousands of rounds down it over the years. I also have a Marlin Golden Mounty I'll stack next to it all day long...2 of the finest .22s you can find IMO. NEITHER are for sale!
