I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. He will be on our prayer list. If it comes down to value on them gunbroker is a prety good place to start as you have been told.. If you do have to sell them most people on here will give you a fair price on them. Just a question what type of O/U is on the bed, I noticed it has a slip on recoil pad. Prayers sent, God Bless

My wife is napping in Florida right now, when she wakes up she is gonna make me a list with model and caliber... I'll let ya know though...

The reason I'm looking into all this, my oldest brother in law made the statement, "well, if we get $100 a piece...." I told my wife to not do a thing till I looked into it

When my Dad got his house broke into and all his guns were stolen I took a list of guns with as much info as he had on them to Joe McBride at McBrides Gun Shop in Austin and he gave me the value of each gun for the insurance co. With pictures it might be even better . Something you might try and you wouldn`t have to drag all the guns around with you .

The current Blue Book of Gun Values is where I'd start. It will be well worth the price. It accounts for all the variants and conditions. If you do look at gunbroker, look only at completed auctions. There's lots of guns on there for prices well above market value.

On GunBroker all you'll get is the current asking price. You can do an advanced search and look at closed auctions--then check for the ones that actually sold and weren't just re-listed. That gives you the price a willing buyer and willing seller arrived at.

You may want to look up a web site,Collectors Fire Arms in Houston, they do all types of appraisals and you can talk to them over the phone and on line as well, if you have any gun shows coming up in your area, go check em out take your picture and info with you.

You probably know this, tell them you want to know the replacement value for insurance purpose.

My condolences for your loss. It would be great if you could hang on to them and keep them in the family for them to enjoy.

If something changes and your decide to sell some, I think you'd find good homes for them where they'd be cared for with TBH members though.

That lever action is nice, is it a 30-30?
