Casey, you will need to look up the stampings on the bbl (near the frame) to find out the born on date...see if you can check out those markings to get an age.

It doesn't appear to be too old but 'new / old stock' sometimes will bring a little more. I don't see any history on that particular gun in that condition either.

    good luck

Look up, Paul. KO is the stamp. I'm told the gun had to be made prior to 94 so that means 77.

I would have bet early or mid 70's just looking at the wood quality. Someone posted a Bicentennial edition about a year or so ago asking for info. I have one of those in 12 ga used. The value was not what I thought it would be so I was glad to be shooting it since 1976.

If looking to sell your best bet is probably a Remington collectors group. If it is not bringing top, top dollar I would use it or pass it down. It is a swee shooter. Good luck

Casey, if it is an LT or LW it will be stamped on the reciever.

              C

call Rem 1800-243-9700 as they will give the skinny and history of that shotgun

if it was a LT 20 , side of recv'r would look like this

I'm guessing that sg would fetch $875 + on GA or GB auctions

Realistically at auction based on what's on GB right now that is actually being bid on I'd guess $650

It's another my Dad has. I'm going to take it off his hands as well.

People like myself that have a real liking for 870 Wingmasters and 1100's are the ones that will pay top dollar. I wouldn't hesitate to drop $900 on one in that condition. I know how hard it is to find those guns in that condition. You may find one for $700-$750 if you take the time to look. But, my time is worth something and to have one presented in front of you for a couple of hundred more is worth not having to search around.

I'm looking to add a couple good dove guns to the safe for the kids (and myself). The first was just a plain ol' 1100 with a full choke. That full choke will be replaced with Briley screw-ins by week's end. I pick it up friday.

This one is just going to be kept as is. I'm trying to put cash in Dad's pockets now instead of inheriting later.

I have one. It's May favorite dove gun bar none. Would not take 1500 for it

I've got a mod 1100 .410 with serious pitted rust damage. I need to get it re-furbed and coated.
