    Need Suppressor help

I would like to suppress my 8 inch 300 AAC Blackout. I am looking for the best option on how I want it set up. I'm wanting to put a 13 to 15 inch rail on the rifle. So I need the suppressor to just screw on. I'm leaning towards the YHM Titanium Phantom QD. My question is is this the best or only option out there. I want it as light and quiet as possible.

    Thank's for any input.

    Couple options to look at.

Gemtech quicksand. It's a qd that you push in and turn 1/4 turn to mount.

Silencerco saker762. This one has multiple mounting options by switching the end out. You can have threads for the 300blk and qd on other rifles. Different caps available for different qd mounts. Haven't seen this one in person yet but it looks impressive on paper.

Or the yhm you already know about. Probably the least costly option.

All three of these are also rated up to 300 win mag, I believe. And I know 1st hand the quicksand sounds decent on a 10.5 or 16in 300blk and a 16in 556 as well.

The problem with going light on an AR is that usually means titanium. Shoot them in the dark and youll see sparks come out of it.... And titanium isn't the best choice at all for anything that could be shot heavily. THIS is why I do not like the YHM cans. That and they are old school technology....

They are priced very well so lots of folks buy them. You may look into the AAC sdn6 as well.

BUT here is your problem.... How do you figure you are going to get to the QD part to take it off when youre running a 13-15" rail and an 8" barrel? Youll need a direct thread cans (it works fine on an AR) or you will have to install the can with the rail off then put the rail on.

There really isn't too many light options for ARs unless you keep the rate of fire way down.

The harvester is one of the lightest out there, but again, slow fire only.

The saker is an amazing can but more money and not super light.

I do not care for gemtech or their products but its more due to things they did in the past. I put them equal to YHM in performance. They are decent at most but not great at anything.

Personally if theirs plans to run it on multiple guns I would only consider a QD Titanium will be just fine on your gun. I seriously doubt you will be doing that many full mag dumps in a row with 300blk

I have the yhm 7.62 phantom lt and it says it's full auto rated down to a 10.5" barrel

Also have a 13" rail on my 10.5" sbr and it's a piece of cake to attach it and detach with their qd mount

Yall need to get mike in on this and it will be a party

I know they make stainless. They are good for the money.... but hey.... its only money

I honestly dont see a good choice for a super light can on a short AR that will run supers. Id rather have the extra weight with a saker or something that will take a pounding

One of you clowns bring me a YHM can and let me dump a few mags on a 10.5" m16 PLEASE I wanna see how that titanium holds up

After a lot of thought and research I just picked up a Silencerco Harvester 30 cal can. I like that I can put it on my 300 wm and everything less than.

There is no need to get to the QD part to remove the can, if he goes with the YHM QD.

It's been awhile since I've messed with a YHM mount. How is it QD if you don't need to get to the latch or anything?

Edit...just looked again and it's basically a direct thread. What locks it?
