What would be a step up from palmetto state armory?

I'm looking to build a sbr but don't feel the need to spend anywhere close to $2000 on one when it's just for fun. I have a competition gun i use to compete in my matches.

    What do yall think? Spikes?

DD MK18 will run around 1600, Spikes makes good stuff, I would just submit a Form 1 and start buying parts, Ar's are easy to put together. I like Aero recievers...

Also the Sig M400 is not bad for the money, you could even buy one with the Sig brace and take it home to play with while you are waiting for your stamp to come in..

I'm really wanting to build this one as well. I enjoyed my last build. It's fun waiting one one piece of the puzzle at a time. Also there aren't many ar15s out there that have all the parts I prefer already on them. By building one I get exactly what I want the first time.

So far spikes and aero for the upper & lower?

Either of those upper lower sets are nice. Also look at 2A Armament Balios Lite recievers, they are pretty light. Im starting a light 14.5" bulid for my daughter after I finish my 10.5" 300 BLK
