    Anyone use Explore Optics??

Looking at buying a new scope for my rifle. My gunsmith told me about scopes from Explore Optics. He had some to show me, they seemed like good quality. They were bright and very clear.

Before I invest in one, wanted to know if anyone out there uses em or has any advice/experience with them.
    Thanks

Google them! Some reviews on them. I read the glass is from Japan and they are assembled in China. The reviews I read aren't too bad.

Never heard of them. Consider vortex if you have some concerns. Customer service is the best I have ever experienced and the glass is great for the money. I tell you what amazes me are the new redfield scopes - now made by Leopold. Glass is fantastic and price is outstanding. If they had. A higher powered scope I would have gotten it instead of the vortex. Just wanted to through that out for you to consider.

Never heard of them before now. Whats their price point? How did they look to you clarity wise?

Junk and not worth it. Had 2 and sold both real quick. That was 3 years ago so they may have improved but I won't take a chance again. They didn't track right or stay on zero and blurred when u turned the zoom up.

Thanks Chewy. There isnt a whole lot on line about them. The reviews have been mixed. TKL, I was planning on going with a Vortex, found one that I really liked. Like I said, a gunsmith showed me the Explore Optic scope. He said he puts them on all of his custom builds. I looked through one he had mounted on his gun, clarity and brightness were very good. A little leary buying an unknown product.

Had one for a short time myself. The illuminated reticle broke quickly, I brought it back and put the rest of the money on a eotech. Marginal scopes at best, quality is poor.

I must be the exception...I've had a 3x9 with mildot reticle on my AR for years. Clear reticle, has always held zero well. I've heard mixed reviews as well. Distributor is located in Buda.

If my gunsmith told me he used Explore scopes on his custom builds I would find a new gunsmith.

All scopes will look fairly clear under ideal conditions.

Stick with one of the well known, reputable manufacturers.

Gunstore just tried to sell me one. When I saw the price was comparable to Leupold I pass. I don't want to be a Ginny pig tester.
