? For those running a laser designator

Are you running a pressure switch or not? If so how are you mounting the switch? Pic's would be helpful.

I am asking because I just got my stalk Tec laser in the mail and will be mounting on my dpms 308.

Mount it where your fingers can squeeze it when you are shooting free hand.

I have no rails. What are some options for attachment?

Laser will mount to scope, not yet in hand.

Possibly where your middle finger wraps around the pistol grip? Or drill and tap your hand guard and mount sections of rails.

I usually carry my Laser Designator separately...

But then again this is my favorite gun to use with my Laser Designator:

Although, sometimes I like to kick it old school and use this one:

I got to thinking about this, and in all seriousness, I would probably opt for a place on the handguard, or where you could push it with your thumb, but out of the way for normal operation. on the pistol grip seems a great way to be turning your laser on and off quite a bit...

I wished I had your fire power el gato b.

Ya it seems if I do mount it the hand guard would be best.
I have found a small rail I section I could attach. Then I fusee there is Velcro or tape.

I was hopping that some hog hunters would chime in and let me know if they find a benefit of the pressure switch over just using the button on the light.

Best mounting option for you would be double-sided velcro tape. I've used that for this same purpose with a lot of success.

Thanks 35rem. I think you may be right. I need to be able to remove the light because this will also be my deer rifle.

Is there a real benefit of using the pressure switch ?

Honestly, if it's pressure-only, it's gonna be a pain in the rear end. The perfect switch would have two features: ON/OFF clicker and pressure pad. If you can only find a switch that does one or the other, get the ON/OFF. The problem with just a pressure pad is you are required to keep your thumb or finger mashed down on that thing at all times, even in the midst of shooting multiple rounds. I never liked that.

The one one that came with the light is pressure on. It will not work if button switch in off, but if button is on the pressure switch has to be pressed.

It seems like you make a great point and I should not use this one and maybe get a on /off and pressure on. I have come across these while researching the whole pressure switch thing.

Show me a couple good photos of your tail cap and your switch. If I have some extra parts laying around apps that will help you, I'll send them.

Man, if I'm running it means something is chasing me! Hahaha. What kind of laser setup are you trying to use?

I agree that the best type of remote switch is both pressure and on/off and that is what our lights come with. The problem your going to have is finding one that will fit your laser light because the threading on the tail cap will probably be different unless it is made for your light. I could make you one but I would need you to send your light with your remote switch and I would change out the switch. The cost would be $20.00 to do this + $3.00 shipping + tax.
