E Form update

While picking up my can at silencershop today I asked if they heard anything about when the e file would be back going for form 4's. I was told they sent 2 guys earlier this week to the ATF round table discussions and were told they are hoping to have e form 2.0 ( not fixing the old one but building an entirely new system) up by SHOT show but most likely would be a few months after SHOT show

So if anyone was waiting they recommended you just paper file instead because it could be a while.

Yup.. i figured the same. When I posted that thought here I was "cynical" and was told to be patient ...

Funny part is... If I would have been impatient I would be 4 months closer to having my stuff in hand. Lol. Oh well. Now I get to be patient.

I decided to paper file mine a couple months back. it went pending in early june. 1.5 months down, about 8 more to go by estimates.

Ok, it’s funny you call the ATF and each one has a different response regarding form 4 return. I would not hold your breath for the return of form 4 efile from what I have heard. Just send it the old route "paper" and just wait. It's taking 9 months for a return which is two more months for NFA items. I was lucky on two items when efile was still up. Mine took six months.

Remember, these are the same guys who said form 4s will be up 2 weeks after the form 1s were up.

I dont believe a thing they say. They have been caught telling lots of folks different things. It will be up when the ATF decides to do it. Ill believe it when i see it.

Ive heard sooooo many different answers and most came from silencer shop. With that said, they atf gives out random answers. Nobody knows.

Lol... i was just dishing it back. No harm no foul here. You'd have to try real hard to hurt my feelings... maybe insult my macaroni replica of my m16 that full auto squirts out molten cheddar cheese on broccoli. Now that would be going to far... The mac m16 jokes are out of bounds.
