No worries, I like it--- feel free to hijack anytime....

What length barrel is your R-15, Barry?

I have the 18" carbine one with the collapsible stock…. I keep reading info about blow back and how dirty having a suppressor makes your semi auto rifle so I may just leave well enough alone.

Maybe good enough reason to pursue a bolt action with a 16.5" barrel much like the rem 700 sps

Kind of wish I had bought that one instead of the 22" with fixed stock. But I bought it at a time when Remington R-15s weren't all that easy to come by and I found this one in stock at a fair price. Plus, at the time, I knew even less about them than I do now.

I would not trust the guy threading barrels for 50$ but thats me. IFFF he does them the correct way he has to disassemble the entire upper as well as doing to the threads and then re assemble.

He has TONS of satisfied customers on Texas Hunting Forum. I trusted him to do my threading job on a $1k custom barreled action and it runs through my can just fine.

He probably would charge a small fee to disassemble/reassemble an AR upper.

Well that's good to hear then! I personally have just seen to many guys come in with their guns trying to put a new flash suppressor or brake on and they cant because of "the good deal" they got on threading their barrel.

Morgan has done all of mine. He's good to go. And stands behind his work.
