+1 on a quality Surefire light. You need something that will hold up to the recoil of the gun.
Surefire also makes pump shotgun grip/light. I just wish it was brighter.
Both the G2X and the 6Px are great affordable options.
320 lumens, Surefire quality for $60!
500 lumens, Surefire quality, $100
320 lumens, it's a Surefire, $51.

a fast strobe light its honestly hard to tell and you being behind the gun your eyes get used to it. your intruder his eyes cant completely focus.
They also say to turn the light on to see then turn it off again they dont know where to shoot and hard for their eyes to focus

Do you know how to use a flashlight with a shotgun or any other long gun in a home defense situation? I would think the "best" would be determined more by the style you adopt, where, and how you mount it, etc.
For instance, with a handgun, I know there are a lot of different ways to dothe gun/light combo. Mounted - side/bottom. Held - under, side, by the ear, out away, up and over blah blah blah.
What is best, is determined by how you are planning to use it, etc. For instance, with a handgun, I wouldn't mount it. I want to be able to scan the room with the light seperate from the muzzle. Strictly because of that, I would never mount a light to a shotgun, and would only use a shotgun in a situation where I don't need any other additional light beyond ambient. But that is me, and that is my situation and the decision I made in what tactics I will use in defense of my home.
