    Blazer rifle ???

I have decided to add a .375 h&h to the gun safe.
I'm trying to decide between 3
Remington 700 is kinda my go to and I can get one for around $1200.00
    Cooper is around $2,500.00
And then there is the Blazer around $6,000.00

Other than being mighty pretty is there anything special about the blazer?

My 700s generally shoot within a inch
    Cooper promises a 1/2"
So how does the blazer stack up?
    Thanks
    Buff

I'm always looking at the blaser rifles, just above my pay grade though. I'll be watching this one.

The action on a Blaser is amazing. Wish I could afford one but would have to be a synthetic stock because those wood stocks look too good and I would be afraid of scratching it.

Main issues with the Blaser are the lack of a secondary lock, if the expanding shell blows you eat the bolt. At least with a conventional action you get a rear lug as on Mauser actions or the bolt handel in a recess.

Also on a conventional action you can get a custum barrel made to what you want. With Blaser you are stuck with factory barrels but there is a good range of calibers.

The guarantee is 10 years but they say not to use hand loads.

For the money of the Blazer I personally would go another route.

At 6k your close to a Kreighoff

I love my 700's, I've shot several models from .22-250 to .338 winmag. with a little work they can shoot with anything....... I have to say though the .375 is classic and is simply tits in a m70 super grade.

I love those Blasers. Think I'm up to 10 of them now. Also have about 20 barrels. Haven't blown one up yet and have shot thousands of handloads threw them. The only downside is that they work right out of the box. No bedding, trigger job, etc. So if you like monkeying with a gun to get it to shoot a Blaser is not for you. You can find a synthetic stocked .375 for around $2500.

I think for a 375 H&H, I would have to go with a Model 70. Thats just classic to me.

No just R93's and a LRS2. I'll probably get an R8 in the future but am happy with the R93.

I've been talking to STGS about a 375. He has a strong liking for his CZ 550.
                          I think that's the route I'm going.

I guess it all depends on what you are gonna do with it, and to it.

Remington kicks out some downright ugly stocks on their guns.

Me ... I'd go with the Cooper 56 just because I'm a fan of their guns out of the box.

Someday... faaaaaaar in the future, I plan on buying/building a .375 H&H or some other "Africa ready" rifle. I will probably go with a Mauser or a Ruger M77 action because of CRF. That being said, you can put a beautiful stock on a Remington 700 if you want, for $1200 less, I am confident you can find a stock to put onto it and still come out ahead.
