I see Texas sportsmen and sports women make light of the governor as a "clown" and the shameful part of that is, has anyone seen a governor who has more "love" for this state and the outdoor sports we enjoy in it more than this man? Is he a self promoter? Sure name me a politician that isn't. But he also promotes Texas and the Texas sporting realm just as much.
My pops and I talked politics once and the lesson I got from that is a politician isn't going to make everyone happy but if he wants to keep in politics he better keep the majority happy. And it would seem he has kept majority happy over the years.
Besides if you think he is a clown, just wait and see how you feel if a real clown(Wendy Davis) becomes gov.

I am in now way picking on one individual and the quoted post was for reference only.
My point in short- we could have worse!

Some people would complain about getting hung with a new rope! I don't agree with everything he does or says but looking at the big picture he's done a great job. Kinda nice having a pro-gun pro-hunting governor.

That's my take on him! We could be stuck with a jackass like who resides at the White House.

I can see that hindsight will abound in a couple of years when Governor Davis is staunchly entrenched in that sunset red granite dome on Congress Ave. Take a look back at what the last Governor Davis did to Texas, and remember at voting time.

For me, I will lament his leaving. He has been better for Texas than any other governor in history.
