    Scope Question???

I am looking for a new scope to top my 6.8 with. I have been looking at the Nikon 3x9x40 mm with the BDC. My main question about this scope is it worth the $170ish that I will spend on it or am I better off looking at another brand in the same price range? Is the BDC any good and is it worth having on a gun that I will rarely take out past 300 yards with?

Nikon are good scopes for the money but that's not what others here will tell you.
I have a few nikons and some are BDC. Although I have never found a need for it. I rarely have the opportunity to shoot over a couple hundred yards.

i personaly think the BDC reticle takes up to much "real estate" in the reticle on the nikon scopes. bought one and sold it a week after because i didnt care for it.

I have a Leupold VXR Patrol 3-9x40 with the firedot reticle sitting in a LaRue SPR mount and it is amazing!

I would love to have the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 though

Kankles both are very good options but I unfortunately am needing to stay in the $200 range for a decent scope.

I am working on another build and will swap the current Bushnell AR optic 1x4x24 that I have on the 6.8 over to that so that is why I am looking for another scope in the 200ish range.

If it's clear, adjustable, user friendly, lifetime warranty and the price you can afford....
NO WORRIES! Have fun with the new toy...
