Custom Gunsmiths in Austin?

Anyone have a recommendation on a gun smith in the Austin area that can build up a quality custom rifle?

my suggestion:

do your homework and research prices, components, and delivery time

don't limit your custom rifle build based on gunsmith location


IMO, lots of great $5,000 custom rifles out there which can actually be built for $2500 if you shop around and do some research

since it's your $$$, spend how YOU wish. Just trying to provide my insight from 25+ yrs experience

I have lived in Austin on/off since 1976 and have never had a rifle built here as I think there are better 'smiths outside Austin. I wouldn't limit yourself to Austin. Getting a gun built should be fun. Take the wife for an exciting weekend in Odessa, Hempstead or Argyle. :-)

Listen to Blake. I have less than $5000 in my entire rig. Optics, components, rings, dies, everything. Don't base the decision of a name.
