SBR and AR pistol guys..Need Help.

I'm starting my build on a AR pistol in 300 Blkout. So far I've just ordered my KAK industries super sig buffer tube and sig arm brace. About to order seekins billet upper and lower receiver tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm pretty set on 8.2" barrel. But..theres a 10" in a local gun shop so still trying to decide if I should order the 8.2" or just get the 10" since it's here.
Anyway, I need help deciding forearm length. I'm pretty set on the rainier arms forearm but I think I would get the 9" but would that be to short with a 8.2" barrel? Should I just play it safe and get the 7"? Also once I get my stamp in and my suppressor in (ordered via trust and silencer shop the first of April) my yankee hill suppressor will be on it most of the time.

More on the barrel. Any of y'all have experience with CMMG barrels? Or any brand you'd recommend without dropping 350+ on a barrel.

I think the 9in rail should be fine as long as the inside diameter will fit around the can. Get a Noveske flaming pig or Levang compensator and it will go out past the end of the hand guard. I think the hand guard coming out all the way to the compensator looks good.

Yeah I just love the look of the hand guard being just barely shorter than the barrel. Just seeing if anyone here has that set up and could chime in.

If you don't have a suppressor yet, rails that are longer than your barrel usually don't last long.

If you go with the 8.2", go with a 9" rail as long as it fits over your can.
I went with a 10.5" barrel just because the 8.2" was on backorder. If I could do it all over again, I would have went with the 8.2".

Yes! Love those hand guards too. I have one on another of my ARs.

Not for just the shorties...

I like full length rails that reach the can on all sbr's & think it givs a a cleaner look...adds weight (especially my rail!!)

This is a 12.5" DD bbl with a rifle length rail....

Definitely a clean look! Thats why I'm just going to have to go with the 9" rail.

Very few rails are going to fit over a YHM can.

Make sure you know it will fit if you order a rail longer than the barrel.

As to barrel choice, no need to go over 8" on a 300 Blackout. It's extremely efficient at short lengths.

Yeah I'm a little nervous now. The rail has a inside diameter of .1 larger than then OD of the can. Good news is I have a friend with the same can and I can check and see if it clears it. If not I can just return it and pick another! I hope it clears because dang it looks good.

Also I found a 8.5" barrel online and if I use that it should be right at the end of where the QD threads would be so kinda like the can would be just almost against the rail.
