    45 acp reloading question

I have a bunch of plated 45 (.452) flat point 255 grain that I use for my 45 Colt. Can I use this bullet for my 45 acp?

The .45 ACP bullets are usually .451 vs .452 for the Long Colt/Scofield. Being plated I probably wouldn't.

Sure can. Make sure the round passes the plunk test and fire away.....

I've loaded cast bullets in 45 ACP and they shoot just fine for practice. I think they were .452 +/- .001. You will probably find a different powder or weight of powder that works best compared to what you use with jacketed bullets.

flat point might have feeding issues depending on the gun. One of my 1911's refused to feed any flat points.
