Error notice from the ATF

Anyone had this problem just got a letter from the ATF saying that tops and bottoms of my trust where cut off when they where electronically submitted. And that the box 2b was not filled out with the county.

I called silencer shop and they said they should get the letter also and Jeremy double checked and he said everything looked good when they sent it and that it was all filled out. He said he thought they could get it fixed by next friday hopefully and i should be approved in a few weeks.

Oh this was on a Form 4
Any of y'all experienced this.

I have not. I hate to bring this up, but..... I have never heard of the ATF allowing you to make corrections on an efile. Paper, yes, but not efile.

I have heard the silencer shop blow smoke a few times, so im curious as to what happens with that. And if they DO allow a correction to be made, how they pull it off....

Yeah I am not sure how they can update it if efile is down. Or is efile running again? Following along for updates.

It's still down. Once submitted, you never could update. I do hope they have enough pull to get it fixed for you. I had a buddy get his kicked back (f1) for a mistake. Had to start all over again which is the norm. It's dumb.

Mines not efile. So this was the big confusion. Mine was not efiled they claimed this one was submitted at the first of the efile start up when it was up and down. Silencer shop claims it was not efiled but that they emailed the trust into the atf. So this is where ive always been confused and the atf said it was not efiled. I was ****** for a long time at silencer shop because i specifically said i wanted efiled and they did it buy paper instead of waiting till the next day for it to be back up again. But the guy acted like it was no big deal. So now im just curious. If they screw around with me again and dont get it fixed with the ATF asap its going to be ugly. And that will be the last time i deal with silencer shop and never recommend them again. But who know he talked like they would handle it by friday. And on the letter from the atf it says contact your dealer.

These are also the same folks that mail in and out 4473's which is a no no but hey....do what you want.

There is some sort of "loop hole" to that. But I agree.

My lil bro had one kicked back last month. (Paper file he did on his own). He filed as an individual instead of an entity (trust), used the wrong address, and county.. he was told a few times (by me) that he's an idiot. We got it fixed and had it back approved in two weeks.

Still not sure how in the world they emailed your trust if they paper filed, but as mike and nate said, normally with paper forms, once the correction is made, you get approved shortly after.

I bought a can and a SBR from Silcencer Shop late December. Got my can, waited 2 weeks, called on my SBR and was told they had no record of it! Keep in mind my checks have been cashed. Called SC and they said because of a screw up that my form 4 never left draft status. Now I don't know what to expect.

Capital Armory can do the same as Silencer Shop if the problems with SS keeps up.
