Finally took my barell off the 22 mag to send it off to get threaded. Woohoo!

I bought a new Ruger 10/22 barrel off of EBAY for $69 already threaded, just took ,mine off and swapped barrels.

2 things need to be said here:

He's got a 22WMR or mag... so they are a little harder to find.

Secondly these factory barrels on the 77/rim fire series bolt guns are extremely accurate. No need for an aftermarket barrel unless you just want to change the look.

I agree with Coach on this. My Ruger does pretty well, probably better than I can. It shoots better than my CZ 17HMR. It's shoots well enough(for me anyway) that I have been concerned about taking the barell off and not getting put back on the same way-messing up how it's set up.
