SBR scope help: Which true 1-6x scope??

Is that Vortex razor still considered the best for the $$$. Let's say $2k & under with clean used an option for our budget.

I REALLY want to get a 1-8 but the coin sky rockets...I would use it for drive hunting / hogs under the full moons & of couse has to be a true 1x for qcb.

I'm not even gonna look through the short dots & heard those new swaros are awsome...i hate shopping for good glass but it's time to pony up.

    Following this one.

What is the turn around time for a Form 1?

I'm getting the leupold VXR 2-7x33. Illuminated reticle, 30mm tube and under $500
Oops, just saw the true 1 power at the end

this particular scope will have to be a "true" 1x like an aimpoint or I'm not interested...gotta be 100% qcb illuminated.

Check out the Steiner 1-5. I run the 1-4 that they discontinued last year. It is a great optic. Check around and you might can find someone with the Steiner 1-4 in stock and pick it up for around 1200 to $1300 bucks.

looks like I would need to finad another larue mount/rings...those appear to 34mm.

be nice to stay with 30 since I'm set...good looking glass & always been a leupy fan.

                You're welcome Paul.

If you don't care about exposed tactical knobs and tactical reticles VX-6 is a great choice.

The Mark 6 is AMAZING but over your intended budget.

The Razor is a TANK of a scope and would feel off balance on an SBR IMO.

gracias mike...you have any experience looking through one at low lite /moonlite??

you like this better than that vortex even if I have to pony up for more $$$...it's the only one I have any time in & was impressed with the 1x.

                  Never have fondled this one!!

Admittedly I haven't Looked through the 1x yet. I have one order though. I do have 2 other VX-6 models and I'm super impressed with them.

I have no experience with using the Vortex Razor other than just fondling one.

Not in the same league as the ones y'all are throwing around, but I have been pretty impressed with the Hi Lux Leatherwood CMR 1-4 scope. It comes closer than most in claiming to be a true 1x. Nice crisp image and has been durable so far. For right around $300 I find it pretty hard to beat at the price point. I have it sitting on top of a 300 Blackout with a 10.2 inch barrel.

Trijicon v-cog might be worth a look. Never seen one in person but the specs look good.

The VX6 is great glass for the money! However I seem to be stuck on the light weight thing... If it has a short barrel I'm going for hits out to 200 yards. If I need more than that I'm grabbing a full size rifle with good glass. IMO a SBR and a red dot are perfect for each other. I have been running a Vortex PST 1-4 on my 10.5" build however I don't believe it will stay there much longer. Again JMO...

Don't overlook the SWFA ss hd 1-6. I and a couple other use them on 3 gun rifles. Great for the money.

Don't be a pansy, just use open sights. Just kidding I have a Leopoldo 1.5 x 5x20 and for the money it's great. Sure it's not a Swarovski but I bet you couldn't tell much difference.
