I can't explain all the issues I've had with primers, some of dads from the 70's have gave me the best groups. But some i have bought new have been mis fires, I don't know if it has been the oil from my fingers or what. If I don't feel confident I discard them, even brand new ones can be bad. Stored primers always get put in the vault where it is dry and cool and I have yet to have a problem. If it is just plinking then I don't worry but if it's a match then I'm very particular about them. I have yet to figure out exactly what it takes to have 100% ignition but reloading is about 50% wisdom and 50% voodoo.
