Ditched the AR10 platform again....

I've had a few AR10's and I'm never happy with them in the end. They are always to heavy!

That's what initially turned me off on AR 10's....til I picked up an M&P....There are some lighter weight DPMS's too....Nice gun U got there....

I've had a few AR10's and I'm never happy with them in the end. They are always to heavy! I'm sure it's my fault, I always put the long rails and what not on them... But today I traded off my Sig 716 and I don't plan to look back! It's super light! I put 20 rounds through it when I got home, and the recoil is minimal in comparison to the 716. I'm very happy so far. It chewed up the cheap 147gr mag tech ammo that all of my AR10's hated!

That looks incredibly heavy. What's it weigh?

Scar is 9lbs 8.5oz with optic, mount, and bipod.

Scar bare rifle 7lbs 14oz

Sig 716 bare rifle was 10lbs 9oz.

Armalite ar10 bare rifle was 10lbs 3oz

A good friend of mine runs the M&P10. It's a great rifle at a good price.

Love the SCARs. Post a picture with the stock folded over for the guys who haven't seen it. I think it changes the look quite a bit.

And I can tell you from experience, don't run this thing folded with a can. Balance is terrible.

ya if you want light weight the SCAR is about the best way to go for 308
