I have a savage mark II fv-sr .22lr with 16.5" barrel that I have been building and knew to get a little more accuracy out of it I was going to have to work on the accutrigger. Best I could get it was around 3#….. So went searching for trigger replacements and found y'all… I went through yalls instruction when my trigger showed up from MidwayUSA and I am not getting proper sear engagement …. when I close the bolt the gun fires. If it was on safety when I worked the bolt then the moment it is taken off safety it fires. The trigger doesn't seem to be as firm fitting as the stock accutrigger. I put the old trigger back in and everything worked correctly so I am not sure what to do at the point.

I had the same problem with my Smith & Wesson 1500. I had adjusted the trigger to light and it would fire as bolt was closed and safety would not engage. So I adjusted to about 2 lbs and it works great. On a howa action if the trigger is adjusted to light the safety will not function and if it is in the fire position it will fire. Not to sure about Savage.Last edited by Muddy Bud; 05-20-2014, 02:42 PM.

Put the Apachee Trigger kit in and can't believe the difference. The trigger adjusted down to 8 oz and had very little creep and broke very clean. No bump fires or anything so far. Adjusted it to where my timney trigger on my rem 700 breaks which is around 14oz and went to play. Very impressed with the simple little apachee kit. Even for a goof like me the install went easy and only took about 15-20 minutes
