Ok guys looking for a gun case for my 223 bolt gun have put a lot of time and effort in this little build. Now I need a case for it. The case will not be for flying or anything like that just trips to the ranch and storage at home. I've been eyeing the Plano all weather with pull foam and a pelican. Plano is half the price and seems maybe just as good. Any of u all have opinions concerning the two?

A guy I work with has the Plano and he is happy with it, I'll probably pick one up for my AR. -
Lots of good cases out there, but... I wouldn't store it in a case... That foam can hold moisture and create all kinds of corrosion issues for you. Wherever you store your guns needs to be ventilated or at the least not sealed in a foam filled box.Comment

Half the price as a pelican and just as good? Not a chance lol
I have a few pelican cases for mine. I can drop them, beat them up, you get the point, and i KNOW whatever inside will be fine.
Yes they are expensive. But its worth it to me and they get my vote. I do not store my guns in them. Just transport them in em. I use the 1750s and 1720s.Comment
