    Paint for gun sight

Looking to add a dab of color to the front sight of my revolver. I'm sure any paint will probably be "ok".....but is there a particular paint I should try to find? I'm thinking neon orange will stand out nicely.

Check out brightsights.com or look up glow-on paint on Amazon. You can get paint that will add a little glow to it as well--not tritium sights, but better than a dark steel post.

Try liquid paper or white chalk

Easy to remove if you don't like it.

One thing most companies do is drill into the sight just a bit. Enough so that the paint fills a cup style shape so that it stays put and doesnt get scratched off by a holster. I dont know if you can do this but i did on my P-64 and its worked great. I also had access to a drill press.

Another option my buddy used on an old surplus pistol was to take a Dremel tool to front blade on his revolver. He just roughed it up enough for the paint to stick to it. I use an auto paint sample bottle of white paint but they make some glow in the dark white sight paint for a reasonable price.
