    .22lr Suppressor?

I've been looking at a few different companies that make .22lr suppressors but I'm not quite sure which one to go with. Does anybody have any preferences? I know some things are worth the money but I've seen them from $200-$1,200. Cheaper just seems to be heavier but that doesn't mean it doesn't work well.....right?

I went with the sparrow. It's not the quitest by some of the reviews I've read, but it is really easy to keep clean and I can't tell a sound difference between it my buddy's Specter II

I'm kind of looking at the TAC65. Anyone ever use one?

          Templar tactical bucklar
And Thompson machine I can't remember wich model.

Get one that's rated for 22 LR full auto. That way it will also be related for 22 mag or 17 hmr

Maybe I should add that I'm just putting it on my Ruger MKIII. I just want something to shoot the "neighborhood" raccoons and squirrels. I also like to punch paper in the backyard without my liberal neighbors freaking out(I live in Washington for now, also my backyard backs up to a LARGE hill, no chance of ricochet there.)

My little YHM mite works great and comes apart for deep cleaning. The weight isn't bad either. I'm glad I only spent $179 on it.

I would buy the Spectre II. Hands down. You can get them for $300-350.

They can handle anything from 22 lr to 5.7 and everything in between. The sparrow is a good can but practically the same thing for more money. Remember, 22 cans get very dirty very fast. Ease of cleaning is very important. Some of these cans out there are a pain to clean and can get stuck shut. Some you cant clean at all which makes no sense. You MUST be able to take them apart and clean them (rimfire cans) and the design should be good enough that it wont get locked together after 300-400 rounds.

True on the cleaning issue. The YHM comes apart... If you don't wait too long to clean it.

Subsonic are really quite or just the loads with the primer charge and will take care of varmints. Get a can for your 5.56mm.

Still get a really loud pop with the subsonic rounds and the powderless charges wont travel very far. Buy both

Used a YHM Titanium Phatom for 5.56 on a 22AR last weekend. With 22 subs it was super super quite. But you could see the bullet flying. We shot a fox about 30 feet from us with it and it hit him and he jumped and ran away. He came right back shot him again and he ran off. I think I could have thrown a rock as hard as the 22 was hitting him. With just 22lr it was quite and def had more punch. The 223 noise was reduced a ton too. Oh and the titanium is super light. Never even noticed it was on the rifle.

I have the Outback IID, and like it a lot, but, if you shoot too many rounds (300+) before cleaning it, it can be a bear to get apart.
