? On replacement trigger for AR 10

On an S&W M&P .308, is there a drop in trigger with a lighter pull. I've heard .308s are not necessarily mil-spec.

Measure pin size but you should be fine using any trigger. The ones made for the AR-10's have a heavier hammer to ignite the hard primer military 7.62x51 ammo, but many of people have swapped to a regular ar-15 trigger with no light primer strike issues.

Thanks, anybody have a recommendation on brand, prefer under $175. It would be for hunting use, no target shooting or shots over 200 yds.

I have a Rock River national match 2 stage "light" trigger. I like it lot, smooth pull, crisp, and light.

Cmc triggers are way nice if you like single stage instead of 2 stage triggers.

I sent the trigger on my 308 AR to bill springfield in colorado. He takes the original factory trigger and works it really nice. It breaks supper clean at #3.

Ok I gotta ask, what does a 2 stage trigger do for you?

A little more than his budget though.

Some of the drop in units will not work in the M&P 10's without modification to the trigger unit.

I put a Timney in my Sig 716
                          3#
Gonna run over 200 but it is a self contained drop in and easily installed
Have it also in my RRA ar15

JP enterprise makes a great trigger and has springs specific for the AR-10. want to say around 150 bucks. Great triggers.

X-3 on geissele. Put a ssa-e in my armalite ar-10 and love it. Bought ssa for ar-15 and ssa-e for 6.8. Worth the money.
