    Ar15 training videos for beginners?

My step dad just finished his stem cell transplant at MD Anderson since being diagnosed with AML. He is on the road to recovery and the Dr said he is progressing better than they expected him to.

Last week we made the trip down to Houston for a round of gun shop touring. The last stop was Class 3 weapons where he picked up his POF 556 ar15. He's excited about getting out and practicing but doesn't have the strength or stamina yet.

What videos would yall recommend for a beginner in the ar15 field? His goal is to be able to compete at Pirates of Texas with me next year.

I can't help with the AR-15 video advice. However, I wish you the best with your dad and hope for many memories made together.

Glad to hear the good news and I hope he keeps getting stronger by the day!

Not sure how basic of an AR video you are looking for but for the beginner this is an excellent video detailing all the parts, break-down, reassembly etc.

          See what you think.

Travis Haley has a few good ones on YouTube. Magpul also sells a full line of excellent DVD's.

I will check out Travis Haley's videos.
Thinking about the magpul videos. Since I'm still learning a lot I don't feel comfortable "training" him how I do things.
