Am I crazy for not wanting an area lower in my name?

I bought my first ar used and my second one I built off a free lower that a friend gave me. Am I crazy for not wanting it in my name? I'm probably over thinking this as I hear of people ordering lots of lowers at one time.

    Thoughts?

What do you mean in your name? Last I checked you don't have to register firearms so no way to have a gun in your name (thank the lord).

It wouldn't be even if you bought a new one

I guess I'm confused as to why I have to fill out paperwork when buying a new gun then.

In Texas firearms aren't registered, the only ones who know you have a certain serial number is the FFL who did the transfer.

... but you post on the internet that you have two?

What am I missing, this is out there for all to see forever and ever, just saying.

I believe this is what I was looking for.

                    Not this.
But to clarify for the millions of people that care... I sold my first ar15 years ago. So I currently have one.

                      Take the tinfoil hat off

If they wanna find out what you have, they will.

But you don't register it. You go through a back ground check. All the form states is long gun, pistol, or other. Other would be a reciever that could be built into a pistol or rifle and is the proper choice for a lower. Some like no paper work. Some don't care. But it's not a big deal. If it gets to that point, its gonna be a war.

The only thing that connects your name to a particular gun is the 4473. This paperwork stays with the FFL and it not sent anywhere when the background check is done.

                          The tinfoil hat feels comforting.

Don't stress about it. As stated above. No registry in texas
