Opinions on re-thread vs adapter

OK guys here is what I have. A CVA single shot rifle in 300 blk with the 1/2x28 threads (weird I know). I want to mount the YHM 30cal phantom QD flashhider on it so I can alternate between it and the Remmy 700 ( If I ever get it back from Remington). My small problem is that YHM doesnt make a 30cal qd mount in the 1/2 threads, they only make the 5.56 bore size in the 1/2 threads which is what I used to take the pic before I returned it.

The barrel itself is 18.5" so I could have it re threaded to the 5/8 size and cut to 16" for about $100 or I could just buy one of these adapters for about $30. Im thinking cutting it, opinions??

Luke, they make the 30 cal mount in 1/2-28.

Thanks Mike, it appears that the 3302-28a is in fact the part i need. Actually Silencer shop has them in stock. Thanks!

I knew they made it because I have one on my Colt AR.
