Pointer Shotgun (Owned by Legacy Sports)

Anyone have or handled the new shotgun gun released by Legacy's Pointer "Ultimate Shooting Pleasure" branch of the company?
Looks like a nice gun for 700$

Wouldn't mind a cheaper over and under to have for some dove and occasional clays as long as its not a complete piece of junk

POINTER SHOTGUNS Pointer shotguns offer several options in shotguns from game-specific hunting application to sport and competition. Built tough and reliable, you can find the model and design that best fits your needs.

Can't find much else around the internet on them

        My thoughts too

Since they are Turkish made I wonder if they are built by the same manufacture as Yildiz..

            I would assume so.

Any experience with the Yildiz? The Academy guys say they are good, but of course they would.

The basic review I've got from them is its a decent gun for the money if you've only messed with shotguns in that price range.
If your use to shooting the 3 B's then its not much to brag about and mediocre at best.

Also noticed for every 5 produced on average 1-1.5 is a piece of junk according to all the reviews I've read

That's right in line with what I've heard. These look pretty good on paper. Have you seen one in person?

The parent company for these is Zafer Arms out of Turkey. I can't find any info on who actually builds the yildiz

Have shot one and it wasn't bad (thats if you are referring to the yildez).

Also saw one jam on a hunter and he threw it as far as he could and it broke into about 5 pieces
So they aren't durable for long toss....

Its a pretty gun but from what ive gathered by shooting the cheaper o/u's is you will experience the different after a couple boxes of shells. Meaning that they typically dont fit or swing like the higher end guns so if you shoot at any volume you will begin to pick up the harshness of them.

My Father-In-Law has a 12 gauge Yildiz. He seems to like it but says that every once in awhile he will pull the trigger and nothing happens. He isn't the most savy gun guy so I'm not sure if it's something he is doing or what. All I know is that I have a Beretta 12g o/u and when I hold the Yildiz it feels like it's plastic, something I'd break. It also is very boxy feeling around the grip where my Beretta is slick and fits my hand well.

I'd probably not know any difference though if I didn't own a much better gun to start with.

Went to academy and messed with a Yildiz to see how the newer ones feel.
Felt boxy as mentioned before, especially on the forearm
