Gun Safe storage Rifle Rods

I have seen this kit on hand and it's ok, but surely there is someone on this site who has improved the idea.

So before I spend any $$ on store bought, I am seeking the craftiness and creative TBH brain trust on some DIY idea builds.

I have seen a few optional ideas via web searches, but there are a lot of you freakin’ crafty DIY genius’s in this group…

Im afraid to put anything down my barrell but a Dewey and I use a guide rod too. My main concern would be protecting the rifling on the high dollar rifles. But if its made out of something sage thats a p re Terry cool idea

How about wood dowels with a ball screwed or glued on it
