Stock bedding question

I am wanting to buy a Boyd's stock for a savage 22-250. My question is can I just drop it in and be good to go, or do I need to get it bedded? Thanks

Boyds are wood stocks, generally to get the most out of the gun it needs to be bedded and pillars installed.
