Code 1032
I just wanted to make a quick post on my experience ordering with Danny (wildman) and the overall quality with of my holster. I decided to make two orders for the two primary carry guns I will use. One being my Sig Sauer 1911 scorpion and the other my Springfield Armory XDs .45.
I decided I'd order one holster from a popular IWB holster company and the other from Danny. Now I don't really want to bash another company over the internet so I won't list the name of the other company but I'm sure you all have a good idea of which company I will be referring to as Brand X. I ordered my Brand X holster first by several weeks and received it before I got Danny's just by a week.
After receiving the Brand X I had instructions to insert my gun into the holster and heat with a hair dryer to make it fit my gun, which to me is something that should be done by the company I am buying it from for my specific gun. After doing so I did not see much of a difference in the retention when holstered. But saying this does not mean I feel like the gun is not secured properly. I feel like the gun will remain seated in the holster until drawn. I opted for the "upgraded" leather on this holster and when I received it I was somewhat disappointed in what paying extra got me. I was hoping for much better leather quality.
Now on to the main point. First the packaging that my Code 1032 came in was very well done, and that always means something to me as a buyer knowing that the seller cares. Upon opening it I first noticed the quality in the leather and the leather work. The is just awesome, the color and everything shows that he took time to make it look nice and function well. The leather is very pliable to fit around your body good but still plenty stout to do its job. The gun fits in the holster extremely well and has a very noticeable "lock" when the gun is seated all the way. The retention is awesome and will not come unholstered what so ever but still flawlessly comes out when drawn. My overall opinion of the Code 1032 is A+ and in my opinion better quality in all categories the Brand X.
