    Tac Con 3MR trigger

    Hey all,

I'm doing the media day at Tac Con tomorrow for the 3MR trigger. I was curious if there was anything you guys were curious about in particular that I should ask while I have a captive audience there.

    Thanks ahead of time.

For those who don't know, this is the Tac Con trigger:

Ask them how to make it work like the original video they released?

LOL, That's my first question. I can say that they flew out a bunch of media types and have like 6 hours of range time scheduled. I'm guessing it's because of the learning curve on the trigger.

You can bet we'll be doing a full write up on the trigger, the learning curve, etc. And then we're going to put it to some tests that most people never will... like making it a school gun for a training academy that beats gear up non-stop.

      Any other ideas?

Sounds like a good plan! Who is we? Where can the write up be seen once finished?

Thanks and glad you found the site. I'll post a link in here sometime Thursday. After 6-8 hours of range time with it, it's either going to be legit or crap.

Either way it's really more of a novelty given the price point and the competition.

What gun show was this? I thought they were only pre-order right now

Currently, I'm glad I canceled my order for 4 of them.

                    It's a gimmick.

There's a video on Youtube of Jerry Michulec (sp) testing the trigger. His splits were actually a hair slower than he gets with his other trigger, which I think is a Giesselle. He did say it's a decent trigger, but it's heavier at 4.5-5lbs than he's accustomed to, which might account for the slower splits. It was pretty fast, but nothing like the video they originally posted, and certainly nothing like a full auto. The only videos I've seen where anyone could make it run really fast were posted by TacCon, and fired by the company rep (owner, designer of the trigger?). Everyone else seems to get inconsistent bump fire out of it, but that's all. Now, I'm thinking if the little lever would bring the trigger all the way to reset, you might be able to get fast sustained fire, but from what I've seen, the lever only pushes the trigger back ALMOST to reset, which means you still have to consciously move your finger forward, then backward again, slowing things down.

Ask them how they are worth double the price of a hyper fire or gieselle that does the same thing

Okay, just got back from Day 1.

I'm exhausted so I'll keep it short. I put about 1100 rounds down range today. There's a distinct learning curve to it that seems to be unique to each person - not really predictable. It's a blast when it gets rocking. Big concern at this point is getting to a point where I can make it rock when I want for as long as I want. Not there yet.

I'll have more info after the range day tomorrow and a full writeup with video soon.
