Tuning the 7STW today.

Tested 4 final loads and I got 1/2" groups with two of them. All were 4 shot groups and from my factory Remington 700 SSF with a Huskamaw 5-20x50.
I dialed the last shot to 600yds took steady aim at a 8"x14" steel plate and BANG!!! Direct hit exactly where I aimed. This ain't even going to be fair.
Loads are going to be 168gr Bergers, 82.5grs. of Retumbo, a Federal 215M primer loaded to 3.750" OAL. Speed is at 3190fps.

I've never understood why the stw hasn't taken off, it's a great shooting round.

What kind of velocity are you getting from those .5 loads?

The 7mm STW is an awesome round, I built one about 20 some years ago. It is a beast without the noise or recoil of my 300 Ultra mag. I took it on a 21 day safari in Tanzania it was fun.
