Leupold VX-R 3-9x40???

What do y'all think about the Leupold VX-R 3-9x40? I'm specifically looking at the one with the Illuminated Ballistic FireDot Reticle! Tell me what y'all think? The pros and cons or what have y'all experienced with this scope

Very good scope for the money. Has the VX-2 glass in it and the fire dot reticle is very cool.

If you need an illuminated reticle I can't think of one better in that price range.

I stepped it up and got my first one last season after a buddy told me how much he liked it. (He's not even a fan of Leupold)

My hope now is to put the fire-dot on top of all my set-ups. If you have the means, I highly recommend the CDS. Love that combination with the fire-dot!

They are right below vx3 price wise. I really liked the vxr but ended up buying a vx3 because I don't like batteries and the vx3 had the slight edge on glass. I might end up getting a vxr next scope I buy, they are pretty slick.

They are $500 plus tax and then I bought a Burris P.E.P.R 30 mm mount! It's going on my BCM Ar right now for the time being until I finish building my 6.8
