Need help from a Glock armorer

I've got a Glock 21 that is ~ 18 years old, and the trigger is starting to fail to reset occasionally. I can recreate the failure to reset during dry firing also.

I think it could just be the springs getting weak, as a good cleaning didn't cure the problem. I compared it to a newer model 21, and the newer gun has a far more positive trigger reset when dry firing.

Which springs do I need to replace, and where can I get them quick?

Brownells sells spring kits. The kit from ghost is a good one.

Buy high-quality replacement Glock parts kit including slide parts kit and more for your Glock pistols. Explore our wide collection of Glock replacement parts.

Shipping is super fast with these guys. They beat Midway and Brownells, all ordered on the same day.

At 18 I'd just go ahead and replace the recoil, striker, extractor and trigger spring. 10 Min and 25$

In addition to epack's suggestions, I would replace the connector and trigger spring as well.

                Has it ever been upgraded?

Glock put out several upgrades to their pistols and I know that they send them to us for free. I had an officer that I worked with that used one off duty that he bought from a guy and I called Glock, gave them the serial number and they showed that it had never been sent the upgraded firing pin, springs, slide cover plate, etc. I think you need to be a Glock armorer to call them direct though but I am not sure.

That may be a free way to get parts but if you want to go aftermarket, go for it.

Glock also replaced the trigger bar assembly, extractor, and firing pin safety as well on some older 21's. Glock customer service is great to work with. Glock will not sell you parts unless you are an armorer.

Yeah, they pretty much replaced all parts for free over a couple of updates and they keep records of which pistols have been updated.
