    Smith Wesson Customer Service/Warranty

I picked up a new MP9 Full size. Great pistol but the magazines did not seed right.

I called Smith and Wesson on the 5th of Feb. They issued a RMA and send me a FedEx label. I shipped the gun on the 6th of Feb.

The pistol arrived yesterday on the 24th of Feb and it is working great.

They replaced the magazine catch. No question asked and it didnt cost me a dime.

    Great customer service

I had a similar experience. I accidentally threw away a small part on my pistol when I was cleaning it. I called to order a replacement and they said thanks for being a customer, gave me the part for free and even paid shipping. It was only a $25 part but I really appreciated the gesture.

Love to hear good CS reviews! We're gonna buy a Compact MP9 pretty soon to use as a rental

I bought the M&P 40c from GT Distributors when it first hit the market. Every couple of rounds the slide stop (slide release) would engage and lock the slide back with ammo still in the magazine.

I thought that I might be hitting it with the grip that I was using (although that never happened with any of the other dozen or more pistols). I made sure that I was not hitting it but the problem continued.

I figured that the slide lock spring was too weak and the snappy recoil of the compact .40 was causing it to engage. I called GT and they checked and said another couple had gone back for the same reason. I don't know if it was a bad batch or a design problem with the new gun but the GT rep picked up my pistol and sent it back. S&W fixed it for free in a couple of days and no problems since then. It was the slide stop that was replaced. With GT picking it up from the police department, I didn't even have to worry about boxing it up. GT and S&W took care of it quickly.

Thats great customer service from GT and SW. I did noticed they had a 911 service for fast turn arounds.
