My new rifle!

Just picked up my brand new .308 16" 700 tactical. It came with a hoge stock I put on mg 20" gun and immediately put on a h an s ltr stock I had. This thing is gettin expensive quick. Now on the hunt for bases rings an scope. Its a threaded barrel an im goin to add a 308 can to my trust as soon as possible.

I have the exact rifle sitting in the safe waiting on the can to show up. Still haven't decided on the glass that sit on it. I like the new stock, how much was it if you don't mind? I really don't like how much play is in the factory one.

I picked it up for $200 off a guy at work who took it off his new ltr an put on the one with the bigger palm swell. So far im at $860 total gun an stock. This thing is sick, but is only in its beginning phase.

I right there with both of y'all just got my trust setup and now deciding what can to buy and what glass to put on it. But I have to get my barrel threaded. Just don't know what kind of glass to get. Any suggestions?

I have a burris fullfield II 4x14x42 I have on my other 308 that I really like due to the bullet drop marks. With my other 20" 308 the burris marks are on deadly at 300yds and then some. As for this one I may look at the same burris but I want something that has better low light vision since most of my rifle shots seem to be in deep cover an low light. Probably going with a vortex since we can get good prices here from mike. As for a base, either a leupold or larue one piece. This is just my opinion on my junk

Vortex on one and Leupold on the other...the Vortex is my rig and other is my buddies...I like the Vortex but it gets a little blurry on high magnification. Still seeing pretty good accuracy so far with the hogue stock...nice surprise.

Got a Leupold Mark 4 - 4.5x14x50 with the TMR reticle with Talley lightweight rings and bases on mine. Gun is great out to 600 yards. Shooting Federal Premium 168 grain Sierra.

I have the 20" version with a swfa ss HD scope and running a YHM TI phantom can. Awesome shooter, very accurate!
